“They said in this massive building, you’re not allowed to have any more than 1,000 people, and that’s nonsense”, Trump during a rally at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, according to Politico.
Battalion Chief Steve Martin, of the Columbus Division of Fire, said, “That was the plan all along”, tweeted ABC news reporter John Santucci.
Donald Trump is falling apart.
Mr Trump referred to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s much-applauded speech as “average” and accused Bernie Sanders of “selling his soul to the devil” for endorsing her.
“I’m starting to agree with you, frankly”, he said.
Not only does Trump believe he is above the law, but he has the childish audacity to question the motives behind the fire marshals, who are simply doing their job by keeping the crowds safe.
All week Trump has sought to tamp down the chants by stressing that his main goal is to simply beat Clinton in the November 8 presidential election.
“I am being recognized for the most legendary campaigns in the history of this country”, Trump said.
Colorado Springs Fire Marshal Brett Lacey later responded to the candidate’s remarks, saying it was a matter of safety and the criticism “doesn’t bother me at all”. I’m taking the gloves off, right? Yes? He said only Trump can unite the nation. So hundreds were left waiting outside, many of them going back to counter-protest. But, I don’t know which it’s going to be and a lot of that depends on what happens to Hillary Clinton.
This sentiment was shared by Colorado Springs resident Crystal Craven, organizer of the “Love Trumps Hate” counter-protest.
Donald Trump’s feud with Kelly escalated earlier this year when he said the Fox News host had “blood coming out of her wherever”. I never met him, and he got up and started talking about Trump, Trump, Trump.
Mr Trump said he was disappointed a number of people were not able to attend his speech due to a limit imposed by the fire department.
In Colorado, the Trump campaign may have caused the problem to begin with.
