J.K. Rowling: ‘I think we’re done’ with Harry Potter’s story
“This is the next generation, you know”, Rowling, 51, told Reuters at the Saturday premiere of the play in London.

“Honestly, I just have to calm down, go home and read it and then I can go full insane and go and discuss it with fellow Potterheads and go full Harry Potter”, said Harry Potter fan Christine Tenchava.
Cursed Child follows up the seven-book Harry Potter series, the first of which, The Sorcerer’s Stone was released in 1997. This book picks up where the seventh book left off and early reviews suggest that Rowling has a victor on her hands yet again! The two-part play, whose secrets have been heavily guarded by fans who have seen the preview performances, opened in London on the 30th. But she has her other novels, plus “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, which is set in the universe of Harry Potter but does not feature him. The play will be running until at least December 2017. Twitter was full of excited posts all of Sunday (July 31) with readers from across the world posting selfies proudly holding the latest edition of the Harry Potter series. It seems like after eight films, eight books and nearly two decades, J.K. Rowling is officially done with The Boy Who Lived.
However, playwrights Jack Thorne and John Tiffany did collaborate with Rowling for the story.
A script rather than a narrative novel, it is being published a day after the official opening of the London stage production of the same name.
“I’d love it to go wider than that”, Rowling said, according to The Guardian.
