While the S-Pen has always been included in Galaxy Note boxes to help users take notes, draw pictures and do a lot more on their devices, the S-Pen which launched with the Galaxy Note 7 works more like the 3D Touch feature in Apple’s latest iPhones.
Samsung also launched a new Gear VR headset alongside the Galaxy Note 7, which offers an improved 101-degree field of view and support for USB Type-C and microUSB connectors. Some of the other new S-Pen related features include a text magnifying glass, translation tool, and a GIF creator. The Galaxy Note 7 features a dual-edged display, and adds a new color to the line-up.
Just like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge redesigns, which didn’t stray too far from their immediate predecessors aesthetically, the Galaxy Note 7 has a familiar look. Notably, most of the innards seen in the image corroborates to the earlier leaks. Buyers will also be receiving a $20 reward when they make their first purchase using Samsung Pay. It has also been made fully waterproof for the first time, as is the Note 7 itself.
The Note 7 comes with a standard base of 64 GB of expandable storage – unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge+, which only came with 32 GB or 64 GB of fixed storage. As it turns out, the Note7 has the same front and rear cameras as the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Thankfully, the Note 7 comes with a Type C adaptor in the box, which lets you connect the phone to MicroSD devices.

The best way to describe the iris scanner on the Galaxy Note 7 simply, is to say the it is essentially an infrared camera with a very specific function. If a Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S7 Edge had a baby, the Galaxy Note 7 would be the end result.
The Note 7 will be available in shops from 02 September in a choice of three colours for a recommended retail price of Euro 849.
The Galaxy Note 7 will be available in the United Kingdom in “blue coral” and “black onyx” from 2 September, with pre-orders set to kick off on 2 August.
Samsung says the phablet can be paired with the Gear VR virtual reality headset, and the company’s new Gear 360 camera.

O2 will be selling the Note 7 from September 1 with pre-orders starting on August 16, but pricing details are now unclear.
