Commercial companies interested in buying HoloLens devices for internal use and development now have the option of buying up to five devices.

The announcement coincides with the introduction of the Microsoft HoloLens Commercial Suite, a set of features tailored specifically to business users. Officially, Microsoft says HoloLens is available to developers and business customers (this is still the “Development Edition”, after all), but even if you’re not one of those, it will still happily sell you one.

“I’m pleased to announce that we’re expanding the program, making HoloLens Development Edition available to all developers and business customers in the United States and Canada”, he said.

Microsoft is continuing to explore potential uses for the new mixed-reality device, and in addition to broader availability, it’s introducing new tools to help businesses make the most of it.

Speaking about the HoloLens Commercial Suite specifically, features include a kiosk mode that limits the apps that can be run – an ideal mode for showcasing a company’s particular HoloLens experience while keeping the public out of other aspects of the HoloLens.
