Ubisoft announced today that Hollywood actors Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal will play the lead roles in the upcoming move The Division based on Tom Clancy’s The Division video game.
The Division, despite all its hype and bluster, never quite delivered, going on to be named our most disappointing game of 2016 so far.
The Division, released in March 2016, sees players as a member of an elite team of emergency responders charged with restoring order and services to the beleagured city. We do know, however, that it will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, and is being produced in collaboration with their respective production studios (Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories Productions and Chastain’s Freckle Films). With those two projects, along with others like Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon also getting the motion picture treatment, what better way to move forward in the movies business by introducing yet another project? No release window for any of the films have now been set.
The Division is coming to the big screen, and no, we’re not talking about that time you ran the Falcon Lost Incursion on your buddy’s projector.

And of course, there’s the Assassin’s Creed film hitting theaters from December 21.
