Luke Cage spins off of Jessica Jones this September to its own series. It is a TV show coming next year on Netflix that will be boasting the superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
With the San Diego Comic Con now underway, Marvel TV and Netflix have begun sharing tidbits of information regarding their Netflix lineup connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel news is hitting San Diego Comic Con in a big way this year, and Netflix seems to be bringing a lot of that action to us.
During the Netflix panel, executive producer Cheo Hodari Coker emphasized Luke Cage’s importance, both then and now.
The Game of Thrones grad stars as Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fist.
Marvel’s Iron Fist has been filming this summer, and although a set date hasn’t been announced for its arrival on screens, it’s expected in the early months of 2017.
Watch the teaser trailer here below, along with a Marvel SDCC sizzle reel. The Defenders will arrive in 2017, and the teaser hints that the main antagonist may be the ninja cult known as The Hand. His solo series takes him outside Hell’s Kitchen and into Harlem, but this Luke Cage teaser trailer looks like a Netflix Marvel show, all right.
The trailer did not showcase much information but it did reveal small snippets of an investigation regarding the identity of Iron Fist.

Lastly, a second season of Jessica Jones is also happening, but production of that won’t happen until The Defenders has wrapped.
