Investigators are calling the killings a double homicide after a delivery driver discovered the bodies behind the Publix store shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. Any people in the area, especially between 2 to 3 a.m., who may have seen anything are asked to contact police.
The investigation is being held by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation along with the Sandy Springs Police crime scene investigations. Henderson attended Roswell High School and Davis was a student at River Ridge High School. Both 17-year-olds were seniors from nearby high schools.
Carter Davis and Natalie Henderson were friends. “Thank you for pushing me when I wanted to quit”. He played football and lacrosse at River Ridge High School. Marching band practice was canceled Monday after news spread of Natalie’s death. On the lacrosse team, he shined playing the attack position.
According to a statement made by Carter’s high school, he was an excel student and a great player on the field.
Investigators were interviewing employees of local businesses and reviewing surveillance footage Monday, Frommer said. Police do not believe a drug transaction was involved, but declined to speculate on why the teenagers met in the early morning hours.
“That’s the initial assessment of that officer at the time, and detectives working the case are not going to confirm that “gunshot” is going to end up being the cause of death”, Frommer said.

Roswell police spokesperson Zachary Frommer said he imagines that the results “will be sealed at least for a little while during the investigation”.
