Leonardo DiCaprio to host fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton
That’s actor/activist/supermodel enthusiast Leonardo DiCaprio, of course, who according to Variety, will hold an event for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on August 23.

The event, billed a “Conversation with Hillary”, is set for August 23, according to Variety. Tickets will cost $33,400 per person and first $2,700 will go toward the Clinton Campaign, with the remainder going to the Democratic National Committee, states and local party.
Complete details are yet to be announced. The GOP nominee began hosting fundraisers in Los Angeles last month and counts the support of a small but influential group of Hollywood conservatives.
In June, DiCaprio (along with Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Martha Stewart, Vera Wang, and others) attended a Clinton fundraiser at the New York City home of Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein.
In April, then-Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders slammed Clinton for the “obscene” $353,000-per-ticket fundraiser hosted by George Clooney and wife Amal Alamuddin Clooney.
The night before, a number of entertainment figures are planning a dinner-time event. The latter includes a dinner and photo with Clinton.

The political event will be Leonardo’s second major fundraising push in a month as in July (16) he hosted his environmental foundation’s annual charity gala in Saint Tropez, France, raising $45 million (£34.1 million) for good causes with a charity auction.
