Man United’s Rashford aims to learn from team-mate Ibrahimovic
Rooney went on to suggest United’s moves to recruit Jose Mourinho as manager and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer has changed the mood around the club, as he hopes the good times are ready to roll once again.

The Swedish superstar opened his account just over three minutes into his first outing with the Red Devils in the weekend’s 5-2 win over Galatasaray in the International Champions Cup and only wants to get better and better according to his new strike partner. ‘We are going to follow him and with the experience of Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick we are very optimistic about the future.
‘It’s a massive help to be with him every day. “There is a lot to learn from him and hopefully I can bring some of his game into mine”.
Rooney also asserted that he sees glimpses of legendary former manager Alex Fergussen in Mourinho, adding that he has been impressed by the training methods of the new United boss. “He’s a talent, and if Jose sees that talent emerge like it did a year ago, then the boy picks himself”. I came back only last week so I have to improve my condition but it was OK out there.
“Of course it was incredible to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season”. “There’s no need to rush into anything. I’m taking my time, taking it steady”.
However, with Mourinho now at United, the Portuguese tactician was keen on luring Willian to Old Trafford for the upcoming season.
But Rashford is looking ahead with excitement after a full-strength United side – in terms of personnel if not fitness – saw off their Turkish opponents.

“There’s a lot of optimism, as that is only our second pre-season game as a full squad. We must work hard and when we have the ball then we have to play good football”, the 27-year-old said post-game. He was a local boy and a United fan, one of the few great players born near a club who are one of the biggest in the world.
