Within the lawsuit, Turner alleges that the NFL commissioned Wells and Paul Weiss to write down a report that may placate the general public and assign blame to sure people corresponding to Turner, whereas the regulation agency was well-paid and well-positioned for future work on NFL instances such because the one which turned out to be Deflategate.

The first Wells report focused mainly on the relationship between former Dolphins offensive linemen Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito, and the culture in which they worked.

Turner, who thinks his status and profession have been unfairly affected, believes that Wells’ report on the Dolphins negatively and maybe completely altered his means to land one other NFL teaching job.

Key information was withheld or ignored, the suit says, and as a result, the defendants falsely accused Turner of helping to create the atmosphere that allowed bullying and harassment to happen. But the NFL hired mega-lawyer Ted Wells to come in and do an independent investigation of the matter, and when that report came out we all thought that was the end of all that. As both player’s position coach, Turner’s name appeared 90 times in the report.

Incognito, who has been given a second chance this season as a Buffalo Bills guard, called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s “absolute power” part of the problem with investigations.

“Ted Wells came in with a mission against me”, he said. “There were some things in there that would have helped my cause that were left out”.
