Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be travelling to Islamabad for a meeting of SAARC home minister’s conference on August 3, marking the first high-level contact between the two governments since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprise visit to Pakistan in December.

India should hit back at Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in this country, BJP member R K Singh said in Lok Sabha, adding there is no point in talking to the neighbouring country. Do you know the man who was leading the procession? Wani was a wanted terrorist Commander of the banned terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen.

Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Thursday said that Pakistan must prepare its envoys in various countries regarding the Kashmir issue in order to defeat “false Indian claims” at the worldwide level.

India’s interior minister will travel to Pakistan for a regional gathering but will not hold bilateral talks at a time when a surge of violence in disputed Kashmir has escalated rivalry between the nuclear-armed neighbours, officials said on Monday. “As far as terrorists and people like Hafiz Saeed are concerned, I believe that they can only increase hatred and cannot increase Pakistan’s prosperity and happiness”, Haqqani said. Sharif even stated his country was waiting for Kashmir to become part of Pakistan, a statement sharply reacted by India and described as “delusional though unsafe dream”.

Doctors and police said more than 100 protesters were injured in clashes with government forces at 70 places across the region on Friday. India has blamed Pakistan for trying to create unrest in the Valley.
