Va. murder suspect shot by police identified
A suspect in a fatal home invasion has returned to SC after being captured in Virginia.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday August 2, authorities located a man wanted for murder, after he stole his victim’s vehicle. London opened fire on the officers, on one of the busiest highways, US Highway 52.
London was wanted by police for murdering 80-year-old Melvin Powell on 23 Elizabeth Street in Danville.
The Danville Police Department has exhausted all information on next of kin for Mr. Powell.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken said in a news release that 22-year-old Richard London died about two hours after being shot early Tuesday morning.
Early Tuesday Morning, Lake City South Carolina Police engaged in a auto pursuit with suspect Richard London.

Palmer faces several charges including murder in the July 21 shooting death of 27-year-old Kadeem Johnson. The State Law Enforcement Division says the man killed was white, while one officer was black, and the other was Hispanic.
