Atletico Madrid will offer £40 million to sign Diego Costa
Costa missed Saturday’s 3-2 International Champions Cup defeat to Real Madrid in MI with a back injury.

Costa fell out of favour with the Chelsea faithful a year ago as the former Premier League champions nose dived down the table and ultimately lost their grip of the trophy before Christmas had even arrived.
Montella has personally requested an attempt to sign Cuadrado, however the Colombian global is also favoured by his current boss, Antonio Conte, and he has always stressed his desire to keep the player in London.
However, Costa saw a dip in his form last term and there were reports that he was unhappy at the club. Now that Atletico have signed the highly-rated Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla, the English club is hopeful that they will not have to send Atletico any further warnings to lay off their striker.
“I do not want to speak about the players of other teams”, said Conte, when asked directly about Lukaku.
“[Costa] is the player who gave me the most advice in my career, and I love him like a brother”, Filipe Luis told Marca.
Camera’s have captured Diego Costa’s open conversation with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos regarding his playing future at Chelsea FC.
Diego Costa’s English may have led him towards a poor choice of words.
Conte’s side were 3-0 down at half-time before Eden Hazard, who came on for the second half, scored twice.
“Ruben is a bit exhausted but he tried to work and to fight for the team”.

Meanwhile, asked about the new summer signing, he added “Batshuayi’s shape is improving and he’s starting to understand our idea of football”. I’m happy with his commitment. “I like him in this position, like a forward, and he can be a good solution for us”, Chelsea manager said.
