Arsenal fans are getting very excited by Julian Draxler’s latest comments
Arsenal have always been linked with winger Draxler and were rumoured to be preparing a major bid for the 22-year-old as recently as last month, per John Cross in the Mirror. Now I’m back in Germany and things are being communicated via the media rather than with me in person.

He told BILD this morning: “I want to leave the club, I had already alerted them after the European Championship semi-final against France”.
While Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has previously insisted the player will ‘100 per cent’ stay, Draxler maintains he has been clear about his desire to leave the club.
“I expected something different, for example that someone came to me and asked: “how do you see things”?” he added.
“Before committing yourself publically, one should speak to me first”, Draxler, who has made 24 appearances for Germany, fumed to daily newspaper Bild.
Draxler turned down the chance to join Juventus last summer after being given assurances by the Wolves that he would be allowed to leave were a big club to come in for him.
Julian Draxler has been linked with a Premier League move more often than most, and the German international’s latest comments are only likely to ratchet up the rumours.
“When I joined, I was assured – verbally – that I could leave the club whenever the opportunity arose”, Draxler said.
The Germany global, who starred for his nation at EURO 2016, told Bild today that he’s ready to move on, fuelling speculation surrounding his future. Two days after the semifinal at the Euro I explained my point of view and expressed my wish that I want to leave the club. It was clear that Wolfsburg had good prospects, but also that they were a springboard for me.
Draxler was signed by Wolfsburg from German rivals, Schalke 04 last summer for a fee believed to be around €34 million.
The Gunners are said to have had a £29million bid rejected by the Ligue 1 outfit last week after Arsene Wenger confirmed he’s in the market for a new forward.

Draxler, after an impressive Euros with Germany, has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United this summer. “It was agreed that we would have reasonable talks, if other clubs show interest”.
