‘Big Brother’: New Season Coming To CBS All Access This Fall

The same production team will be involved, but there will be new guests in the house. This schedule would seem to suggest that CBS will carry over Season 18’s travel theme or at least portions of the theme.

There will be a lot of additional Big Brother 19 rumors in the coming weeks, especially because casting has already begun for the show. Will Big Brother fans pony up $6 a month to watch Big Brother 19? Season 19 will also make history as the first-ever original competitive reality series to air exclusively on a streaming network. The latest Big Brother will appear strictly on CBS All Access, the subscription service that already offers the Big Brother Live Feeds. Deadline reports that Season 19 of the reality competition will premiere on the CBS All Access streaming platform this fall, just days after the Season 18 finale September 21 on CBS. Rather than running for 13-14 weeks, Season 19 is expected to run for 10 weeks.

The biggest question mark surrounding Big Brother’s move to CBS All Access comes in the form of the series beloved host. As any Big Brother fan will tell you, Big Brother without Julie Chen is like ice cream without milk – you may be able to have one without the other, but that doesn’t’ mean you should!

Can CBS All Access find a way to compete with something like Netflix? But will enough viewers pay to see a full season of Big Brother 19 play out online?

CBS All Access subscribers get access to on-demand episodes of current and former CBS shows. Could airing a season of the show outside of its familiar summertime slots lead to lower ratings when Big Brother 20 premieres in summer 2017? It remains to be seen if Big Brother fans will be burned out by season 18 to start up another season so quickly, but CBS is clearly banking on fans’ obsession with the show to continue all year round.
