However, it is a bittersweet pill to swallow as the author of The Boy Who Lived series has announced that this is the end of Potter indefinitely.

Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and Sonia Friedman wrote the script for “Cursed Child”, based on Rowling’s story which focuses on Harry, Hermione, and Ron, along with Harry and Ginny’s son, Albus Severus Potter. HP author J.K. Rowling also celebrated a birthday on July 31, since the writer shares a birthday with her iconic character. Fans across the world are mad to get the copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts 1 & 2 that went on sale at Sunday midnight. However, it appears that Rowling is finally done writing stories about Harry Potter himself. This book picks up where the seventh book left off and early reviews suggest that Rowling has a victor on her hands yet again!

Instead, the new story is the script of a stage production now running in London. Rowling also revealed this is the end of Potter’s adventures. Harry, who works at the Ministry of Magic, is now a father to three children, who he’s welcomed with wife Ginny Weasley. After all, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard Rowling (or her spokesperson) say that she’s not writing any more adult Harry Potter stories.

“Next week we’re going to sit down, have a cappuccino and start talking about what’s next”, said Friedman. But she has her other novels, plus “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, which is set in the universe of Harry Potter but does not feature him.
