Jewish veterans group slams Trump over attacks on Muslim war hero’s family
He made those remarks during an interview Monday with Fox News host Sean Hannity from a campaign event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Khan also criticized Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration and accused the candidate of sacrificing “nothing”.
He did so in response to remarks by bereaved Army parents Khizr and Ghazala Khan.
Donald Trump’s comments against father of a slain Pakistani-origin American Muslim soldier appears to have shaken the USA presidential race as his own party leaders came out openly against the gaffe-prone Republican presidential nominee.
The Republican presidential nominee turned that statement around.
Black said Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, have clarified via social media that Capt. Humayun Khan “is an American hero and that his family, like every Gold Star family, is deserving of our respect”. “I can just tell you that from my standpoint I’m appreciative of everybody that’s served”. Khizr spoke Thursday, the last night of the Democratic National Convention.
Trump had criticized Khan’s speech and subsequent TV appearances via Twitter, but later followed up saying that “story is not about Mr. Khan… but rather RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM and the U.S. Get smart!”
Ghazala Khan responded Sunday in an opinion piece published in The Washington Post, saying talking about her son’s death 12 years ago is still hard for her. When her husband asked if she wanted to speak at the convention, she said she could not.
Trump harshly criticized Martinez over food stamps and unemployment numbers during an Albuquerque rally that turned violent in May.
“In recent days, Donald Trump disparaged a fallen soldier’s parents”, McCain said. “Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak”, she wrote.
No Republicans, however, withdrew their support from Trump and a few defended the Khan family while not mentioning Trump by name.
“The meaning of Islam is peace and love”, she said.

The swift condemnation of Trump’s comments about the Khans by multiple individuals and groups means this controversy may not go away anytime soon. “Mr. Kahn made a decision to politicize his son’s death which is a awful, bad thing and I think his speech was wonderful up until point he chose to attack Donald Trump”.
