Emirates Airline confirmed the flight EK251 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai had been involved in an accident at Dubai International Airport but there had been no fatalities.

An Emirates plane with 275 people on board was involved in an accident on landing Wednesday at Dubai airport but all the passengers were evacuated safely, the government said. Social media users reported smoke at the scene and images appeared to show a plane on fire on the airport’s runway.
Emirates Airline said there had been 275 passengers and crew aboard the plane.
On Twitter, Emirates approved that the flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram [in Kerala] to Dubai had been complicated in an accident at Dubai International.
Airport and company representatives could not be immediately reached for comment.
The accident happened as Flight EK521 was arriving from the southern Indian city of Thiruvananthapuram.
The accident was the most serious ever for Emirates, which has grown at a breakneck pace over the last three decades and turned its hometown of Dubai into a major long-haul global air hub.
“The main priority remains with those involved and offering support to concerned family and friends”. It said authorities are “dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all”.
He said that only one person – a crew member – had been taken to the hospital for treatment. The airlines said there were 226 Indians aboard the Boeing 777-300.
Emirates said it had “no further information on what may have caused the accident”.
The carrier says “all passengers and crew are accounted for and safe”. “When smoke engulfed the flight, we realised there was something amiss and we felt there was some danger”, he said.
“All passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far”, a statement added.
On July 26, an Emirates Boeing 777-300 aircraft heading to the Maldives made an emergency landing in Mumbai because of a “technical fault”.

According to Quest, Dubai-based Emirates is the largest airline in the world by available seat kilometers (ASK) – the measure of an airline’s passenger carrying capacity – which multiplies seats available by distance flown.
