Emirates Plane ‘Crash Lands At Dubai International Airport’

A company representative reached by Al Arabiya English said they could not comment further on the accident, but that all passengers and crew are safe.

Emirates, the region’s biggest carrier, said the plane had left Trivandrum global airport at 10.19am and was due to land at Dubai worldwide airport at 12.50pm.

Images posted online show thick black smoke coming from the plane and severe damage to the aircraft.

Meanwhile, Dubai Media Office confirmed that emergency response teams at Dubai Airport have fully extinguished the fire on the Emirates plane.
