Trump vs. Ryan (again): How we got here

The morning after accepting the Republican nomination at the party’s convention, Trump re-litigated months-old grievances with primary rival Ted Cruz.

Congressman Richard Hanna said that being a good American who loves the country is far more important than political parties of winning.

“We need loyal people in this country. And I’m just not quite there yet”, Trump said. “I’m not quite there yet”.

Nehlen, a manufacturing executive from the town of Delavan, has attacked Ryan largely from a tea party perspective but also as a full-throated Trump supporter.

Both Ryan and McCain had criticized Trump’s feud with the family of Army Captain Humayun Khan, who died in the line of duty in Iraq in 2004 and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for bravery after his death.

“Scott’s a good friend of mine”, Ryan said.

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley is among Republicans making a point of not campaigning with Donald Trump.

The real-estate tycoon also lashed out at another Republican US senator, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, as weak and disloyal. He did not mention Trump by name in the statement, but his intention was clear. “Some of our best and biggest allies in this struggle and fight against radical Islam terror are Muslims”. “They must reject any group or cause that is built on bigotry”.

“I had great timing”.

Of the three refusals, Ryan is the most interesting. Will Ryan and McCain pull endorsements of Trump?

“Looking around at what’s taking place in politics today, it is easy to get disheartened”, he said. “You saw my statement”.

McCain had a “very friendly” meeting with Trump’s vice presidential running mate, Mike Pence, on Tuesday in Arizona, where Pence was visiting, a McCain spokeswoman said. The primary for Ryan’s House seat is next week and Ayotte’s primary is next month.

“Maybe he’s going to prove us all wrong, but you just can’t do this because it depresses the vote”, he told Berliner. “And to focus on anything other than that, to me, is missing the point. They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first!”

The Silicon Valley billionaire’s endorsement of the Democratic nominee comes as a blow to the Trump campaign as it is embroiled in multiple controversies and struggles to retain support within the GOP.

Trump added, “I’m giving very serious consideration to that whole situation, to Ryan, to Paul”. “Wrong, I didn’t inherit it, I won it with millions of voters!”

“No, because this is about the party”, she said, ripping into the GOP establishment.

For Donald Trump, it’s become a familiar pattern.

Meg Whitman, the president and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a onetime California gubernatorial candidate, and prominent GOP fundraiser, told The New York Times she is supporting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

In the ad, Ryan speaks directly to the camera, saying he’s committed to securing the border and doing what’s necessary to protect the USA from terrorists who “want to destroy our freedom and security”. “Things working out really well!”

“Like me, I think he’s also been very concerned about the incendiary statements plus the lack of solid policy”, coming from Trump, said Dent of his House colleague. Will Trump endorse either Ryan or McCain?

Ryan called it “the textbook definition of a racist comment” and “absolutely unacceptable”. “And that can’t start until he apologizes to the Khans”, Dakota Meyer, one of a handful of living Medal of Honor recipients and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s son-in-law, wrote Tuesday on Twitter.
