Jared Leto was ‘terrible’ in his first audition

A group of incarcerated supervillains is moulded into a black ops team for the American government, and ends up saving the world. “Suicide Squad is bad”. It’s a fun film and a good entry in the DC Extended Universe.

Quinn is the demented girlfriend of the on-the-loose Joker (Jared Leto), who turns out to be a curiously small part of the film.

The cast also includes Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Jared Leto as The Joker.

But hey, don’t let a bunch of critics make up your mind for you.

Will Smith was more diplomatic about the wider superhero genre and stated what he loved most about making “Suicide Squad” was that it is a celebration of “diversity” because of the eclectic cast and characters.

“David Ayer got all of us together for weeks before filming started to rehearse and to thrash things out about our characters”, she explains, “and so we ended up bonding off screen, we truly became a squad”.

As far as what scene requires that Harley Quinn hold her breath for that long? And of course, the whole film is one big setup for another film that we’re all waiting for. “How can you be so bad?”

“From the first scene to the last, it’s an absolute mess, one whose harried pacing, jumbled narrative, and blaring soundtrack of radio hits suggest a desperate post-production attempt to reconfigure what [David] Ayer got on set into something palatable and poppy”, said Matt Singer of ScreenCrush.

Just when you think DC and Warner Bros are going to pull a surprising success out of the bag, the first reviews of Suicide Squad seem to broadly suggest that it’s just not very good at all. He would say, ‘You don’t like each other until later on in the movie, stop it’. The views expressed are his own.
