Instagram’s New Update Copying Snapchat Is Brash And Totally Fine
Some of fashion’s biggest names are already getting in on the act.

Today you’ve probably seen your algorithm spit up the announcement that Instagram is introducing a new feature that allows you to make slideshows of images and videos.
What do you think of Instagram’s new “Stories” feature?
Not only that, but Instagram stories has amalgamated the features that people might move between apps – the best of both worlds.
However, the feature doesn’t have Like and Comments button like regular posts.
However, unlike Snapchat, Stories can also easily be hidden from anyone you don’t want to see them, even if they follow you. The update will rolling out globally on iOS and Android.
What even is this Instagram Stories madness?!
Instagram stories are basically same as the Snapchat stories.
Instagram owner Facebook is no stranger to this.
The company hasn’t revealed if Instagram will add more Snapchat-like features to the Stories Feed.
Your story follows the privacy settings of your current account. “It’s easy to view stories at your own pace: tap to go back and forward or swipe to jump to another person’s story”.
The Washington Post first reported Instagram’s plans to add such a filter last week, explaining that the option would soon be available to certain high-volume users. However, users can also select the people they do not want to be able to see their story. Users can share as much content as they want to, and can be creative with it too. Sounds familiar? Well, it should if you are a Snapchat user, as the messaging app seems to be what has inspired the latest addition to Instagram.
Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom told the Wall Street Journal that the new feature is designed to create “a place where you feel free to post whatever you want without the nagging fear of, did someone like that or not?” Press the three little dots on the right hand bottom corner, then click ‘save photo.’ You can also share it to your Instagram feed, if you fancy.

You will be able to see how many people have viewed your story, by swiping up on the screen.
