In a searing and virtually unprecedented presidential rebuke, Barack Obama declared embattled Republican White House nominee Donald Trump “unfit” to be president Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) and called on party leaders to disown him.

“There has to be a point in which you say this is not somebody I can support for president of the United States”. Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, one Republican House member had already taken the presidents advice earlier Tuesday.
Those who have worked with Trump say that in private meetings, he can often appear amenable to putting a controversy aside. But, President Obama was actually Senator Obama in 2004, and found himself on the opposing side.
It’s clear why those Americans who hate immigrants, dislike the waning supremacy of white men, and are troubled by women’s social progress support Trump.
“But no one was blaming Donald Trump for Capt. Khan’s death”.
“If you are repeatedly having to say, in very strong terms, that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?”
When state House Minority Leader Beth Fukumoto Chang dared to share thoughts critical of Trump at the state GOP convention in May, she was practically chased from the podium by attendees calling her RINO (Republican in name only) and angrily shouting, “Resign!”
“While our party has bestowed upon him the nomination, it is not accompanied by unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us”, McCain said.
Obama pointed that Trump’s actions and words cast Republican Party in a negative light.
Berman explained that Trump had gone after Ghazala Khan by suggesting she was not allowed to speak at the Democratic Convention because of her religion.
In an interview for the Washington Post, he refused to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator John McCain, who are up for re-election in November. Hewlett-Packard executive Meg Whitman, a prominent GOP fundraiser and donor, endorsed Clinton and said, “Donald Trump’s demagoguery has undermined the fabric of our national character”. “I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices”, he said.
In recent days, Trump has criticized Muslims, babies, firefighters and the military, prompting his wincing Republican backers to issue awkward denunciations.
Humayun’s father, Khizr Khan, spoke on the closing night of the DNC, stealing the show even from nominee Hillary Clinton with his emotional takedown of Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Trump addressed the matter only implicitly, faulting the media for not giving enough attention to Patricia Smith, a Trump supporter who is the mother of a victim of the Benghazi attacks, while giving “other people unbelievable amounts of air”. Trump has said good things about Ryan’s primary opponent.
Amid increasingly hostile public opinion of the trade pact and its political toxicity in the 2016 election, Obama reaffirmed his commitment to passing the top priority item for big business, saying “trying to pull up a drawbridge on trade would only hurt us and hurt our workers”. Trump’s team agreed to limiting rally sizes.
“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart”, Trump said.

“This was much easier”, Trump remarked.
