Richard Hanna, a three-term US representative from NY, denounced Republican nominee Donald Trump in an op-ed for Syracuse.com, on August 2, reports Politico.
Several Republicans have said they would not back Trump, including representative Carlos Curbelo of Florida and Reid Ribble of Wisconsin, but Hanna is the first to openly endorse Clinton, despite acknowledging that he does disagree with Clinton on many issues.
While a number of Congressional Republicans have openly repudiated Trump and said they will not vote for him – including Sen.

Tuesday, Aug. 2, may be remembered as one of the worst days of the 2016 election for Donald Trump.
During the Democratic National Convention, the father of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim-American soldier who was killed in Iraq, gave a blistering critic of Trump and accused the White House hopeful of being out of step with the Constitution.
The Democratic nominee also may have outraised her Republican opponent once again.
Hanna spent Tuesday in Upstate New York and did not have any public events scheduled.
A Republican member of Congress has revealed he plans to vote for Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton over his own party’s candidate Donald Trump because “He is unfit to serve our party and can not lead this country”.
