Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ready for pre-order in U.S., price revealed

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a curved 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen (2560 x 1440 pixels), and is ready to stream HDR video, enabling a cinema-like experience including brighter colors and a deeper black, which ensure users get the full experience that the filmmaker intended. Also, the S Pen in the Note 7 has been integrated with enhanced features such as Air Gesture that translate foreign language into user’s local or preferred language. The device comes with many new features, including a Power Saving Mode that allows users to adjust display resolution. So, it is fair to assume that the flagship could be none other than the Galaxy Note 7. With this promo, consumers that switch to T-Mobile will get $200 off the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, or Galaxy Note 5.

What you can say about the Galaxy Note 7 is that the processor will be a heck of a lot faster than the two previous models. The Note device is always usually a few steps ahead of the regular flagship, and this time the Note 7 has gotten as expensive as the iPhone 6s Plus with a retail price of around $850. It comes with more internal storage – 64 GB compared to the S7’s 32 GB – and this can be expanded, thanks to a microSD slot. The 4GB RAM on the Note 7 is the same as with the Note 5. The Iris scanner onboard can also be used to authenticate online payments via Samsung Pay. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 16MP snapper on the back and a 3.7MP selfie sensor, all of which are nowhere near the 12MP primary and 5MP secondary cameras on the Galaxy Note 7. On the contrary, the S7 Edge has a 3,600mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. Samsung went further to include IP68 certification on the new handset, which makes it waterproof for up to 1.5 meters depth and for a period of 30 minutes. Owners can unlock their phone or specially-protected folders by scanning their iris. This is the first Galaxy Note phablet to come with an iris scanner. More specifically, T-Mobile and Sprint are offering a free Samsung Gear Fit 2 smartwatch, or a 256Gb memory card with every Note 7 purchase. The Note 7 will be available in the US starting August 19.
