Boos for Rotten Tomatoes, Ripple buys Hoodline, and Rio soars
Coldwater should petition critics to stop reviewing DC’s films if he doesn’t want bad review scores.

In effect, the Ghostbuster preview became YouTube’s most disliked trailer of all time, while they worked to give the movie the worst possible user ratings in both IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.
But now a petition has been launched to shut down the website by the DC Comics faithful, which is, somewhat incomprehensibly, blaming the site for the bad reviews.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice first furthered this conspiracy theory earlier this year, due to its 27 percent Tomatometer score.
Of course, not all critics hate the movie – the Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw awarded Suicide Squad three stars, and Empire’s Dan Jolin gave it an enthusiastic four.
Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie as a band of deadly criminals recruited to execute unsafe black-ops missions, the film has an average critical score of 4.9 out of 10. The characters are already beloved, so while the DC movies don’t need to copy the Marvel formula, it isn’t too late to inject some pep into the Justice League’s step, make it a little more user-friendly for the non-diehard fans.
Well, it was. And no, critics were not paid by Marvel to give bad reviews just so that others wouldn’t go watch the film. Warner Bros.is distributing Suicide Squad.
Though Rotten Tomatoes is a review aggregator and therefore isn’t responsible for the negative reviews the movie is receiving, that hasn’t prevented many from agreeing with the petition’s sentiment that the entire site should be shut down for its crimes.
Rotten Tomatoes works out the percentage of reviews that can be deemed positive.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron was a mess, it has a 75% on rotten tomatoes tho”.

Suicide Squad writer and director David Ayer also defended the movie. But while I’ve been tempering my expectations given the BvS fiasco, I’m still hoping that David Ayers and the rest of the Suicide Squad gang managed to pull off at least a good run that won’t leave us angry or disappointed yet again. He responded to on Twitter by saying that he made the film for the fans.
