US Men’s Olympic Basketball Team routs China at Staples Center

Kevin Durant and Team USA walloped China, 106-57, in an exhibition game at Staples Center in preparation for the Rio Olympics on Sunday night, but the juiciest story wasn’t the final score.

The Team USA basketball squad, which is composed primarily of NBA players and staff, led as much as 54 points, thanks to a strong game by Kevin Durant, who led all scorers with 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

Overall, the team looks good from their performance, despite some of the earlier setbacks this year.
