Gardai Rescue 14 Pups From Car Boot At Dublin Port
The vehicle, which was driven by man in his early 20s, was stopped by officers on Promenade Road this afternoon at around 12.30pm. The animals were contained in two small metal containers which did not provide access to water or fresh air.

In a statement, Gardai said the dogs were “being transported in a unsafe manner”.
“No valid documentation was produced and the dogs were duly seized because of alleged cruelty”.
Thankfully the pups were healthy but they will require monitoring over the coming days before they will be put forward for adoption.
FOURTEEN puppies of various breeds thought to be destined to be sold in the United Kingdom were seized by Gardaí at Dublin Port.
The D.S.P.C.A. was contacted and the puppies are now in their care and receiving immediate veterinary care.
The arrested man was charged and released and a summons will be issued over the matter.
This was the fourth seizure of pups leaving Ireland for the United Kingdom in the last three weeks.
