Team USA: Carmelo Anthony, Vanessa Carlton Saga Continues
Apparently Mike Krzyzewski isn’t the only one that thinks Team USA is having too much fun this summer. As the US men’s basketball team made their way to Rio, they engaged in quite the epic sing-along to Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” – but Carmelo Anthony could have cared less. “They know I don’t like early mornings”, Anthony joked to NBA TV. “So that was Jimmy’s playlist, I’m taking the playlist back, I’m taking the speakers back”.

There’s more on Draymond Green’s snapchat, with Jimmy singing some country song (Twitter tells me it’s by Luke Bryan).
Team USA Basketball has been very engaged on social media in the lead-up to the Olympics, for better or worse. The rest of the team is all about getting their singalong on though.
Anthony is referencing the scene in White Chicks where Terry Crews‘ character sings along to the song.
Carlton, for what it’s worth, had earlier found the viral Carmelo Anthony meme quite amusing.
Vanessa Carlton even responded with her own tweet after the Melo apology.

“Absolutely”, he said. “I’m sorry Vanessa!”
