Destiny: Rise of Iron’s Light increase, revamped artifacts and events detailed
Thorn is coming back to Destiny, a video game in which players convince themselves that it’s worth spending hours grinding for goddamn calcified fragments just so they can get a stupid emblem.

Rest assured that the Rise of Iron Record Book isn’t the only way to earn rewards while playing the new expansion. And custom/private PVP matches, probably.
Destiny players that have been trying to squeeze every Rise of Iron press release and stream preview for all the details they’re worth were gifted with a bonanza of new information today as tidbits have emerged from the interview Bungie recently gave to Game Informer concerning Destiny’s latest expansion.
The new maximum Light level will be 385, up from 335, rising to 400 upon the release of the Hard Mode version of the new raid, entitled “Wrath of the Machine”.
In addition to that, Bungie made a decision to completely overhaul artifacts, and add eight new artifacts in total. One allows you melee enemies and gain their support temporarily; another trades your Super for double grenades and melee with a base increase to all stats. The Halloween-themed event was first added to Destiny past year, and it tasks players with completing quests to track down 16 masks. No word on what’s coming in 2017 before Destiny 2, though.
The expanded Earth area will include a public event arena called Archon’s Forge, operating similarly to the Prison of Elders and the Court of Oryx, while the strikes Devil’s Lair and Summoning Pits have been revamped. “We want to keep more regular content for players”, said Barrett in June.

In fact, the whole place of “Destiny: Rise of Iron” Felwinter Peak is usually locked, but there are special occasions when it can be opened.
