Michael Biehn Is Confident That Film Is Happening
While Alien 5 has yet to begin filming, Covenant will focus on a brand new crew of space travelers, who discover a dark world inhabited exclusively by the android David of the doomed Prometheus Mission. The book included a wealth of never-before-seen pictures including casting publicity shots, behind-the-scenes “between-take” breaks, weapons, vehicles and much more, Aliens: The Set Photography acts as a sumptuous visual celebration of one of the greatest science-fiction action films of all time. Since the fifth installment was announced though, multiple sources, including Sigourney Weaver herself have confirmed that Alien 5 will take an alternate path after Aliens, leading the surviving trio on a completely different path. Although this Ridley Scott prequel film is expected to haul in some money, the more intriguing prospect is another project tentatively called “Alien 5” by Neill Blomkamp.

Alien and Aliens are regarded as some of the best sci-fi horror movies ever made.
Biehn plays Corporal Hicks in the 1986 version. Blomkamp has made no bones about the fact that his new film would disregard everything following the end of Aliens, and for this we, as well as Biehn, should be grateful for. He added that it did not feel like an audition at all. “It looked like it was all go and then Ridley Scott decided that he was going to do a second and third film in the Prometheus series, but Sigourney says they are still doing their project”. It was during that event that some hints seemed to be dropped that Alien 5 might still happen.

However, the actor went on explaining why he is confident that “Alien 5” is indeed happening. One thing is for sure, it would be great for Weaver and Biehn to get back together to send off the iconic character of Ellen Ripley right, rather than what we got to finish her story. “I don’t know when it’s going to happen but I know it’s going to happen and I know I’m going to be in it and there’s going to be a new Newt, she’s going to be about 26 or 27 and looks a lot like Jennifer Lawrence to me but I don’t know”, he said.
