Jets’ Marshall punts ball over bleachers in frustration
New York Giants’ Damon Harrison stretches out during practice at the NFL football teams training camp in East Rutherford, N.J., Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.

After running back Dominique Williams dropped a pass, Marshall picked up the ball and kicked it, sending it hurtling toward some campers and parents.
Marshall, who had two stints with Jay Cutler (one in Denver, one in Chicago), was once believed to have a strained relationship with the QB. “I nearly got sued”. I seen a lady… He threw a tantrum during an August practice, punting a ball and smacking away a pass thrown in his direction.
Below is the GGN Twitter widget embedded to provide you with updates throughout the day at practice along with any other news that breaks. For most of his career, he’s been far from elite, as demonstrated by these career numbers: 60.1 percent completion rate, 154 touchdowns, 116 interceptions, 80.6 passer rating.
The Jets called the 5-foot-10 Marshall during the fifth round. Marshall said. “Eric Decker isn’t elite?”
After practice, Fitzpatrick gathered his receivers, discussing what went wrong and how they can improve.
“Sometimes you need that to show people it’s not acceptable to come out and practice like that”, Marshall said.
The starting offense still isn’t whole, so it’s premature to draw conclusions. CB Darrelle Revis (wrist) participated in team drills for the first time in camp, taking part in one session. He figures to be a key component in the passing game. With Fitzpatrick missing the entire offseason program, the offense may be well behind the defense – and in turn not fully prepared by September to compete at the highest level in games that count.
Afterward, Fitzpatrick didn’t make excuses.
“It’s just important for us to remember that we can’t waste any days, ” he said. We have to keep trending upward. “We’ve got to be able to learn from it and we’ve got to continue to be trending upward and getting better each practice”. “We’re going to line up tomorrow and play again”.

Marshall smiled when told of Bowles’ comment. “We don’t want to do too much with him, ” Bowles said. “If we need a second punter, we might put him back there”.
