The new series will also have Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez, and Brendan Hines on the cast for the show beyond the pilot.

With The Tick’s pilot set to drop less in just over two weeks, Amazon has unveiled a handful of new images from its revival which Edlund calls a true labor of love!

Today Amazon Video released the first images for its upcoming reboot of the cult classic The Tick.

The new The Tick will feature a pilot episode helmed by Transcendence’s Wally Pfister.

The new series takes place in a world where superheroes have been real for decades and follows an accountant with no powers who realizes his city is owned by a global supervillian who was thought to be dead.

The photos give a closer look at the titular blue hero, played by Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars: Episode I), as well as the reboot’s previously unseen interpretation of decrepit supervillain The Terror, portrayed by Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, Preacher). As Arthur struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a odd blue superhero (Peter Serafinowicz). “Is it a radically new hybrid of humor and super heroic action with characters you will care desperately about?” Along the lines of the costumes you’d see Batman, Superman or even Spider-Man wearing in modern superhero movies, the new Tick comes with a very textured look. The Tick is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.
