The Nintendo NX is slated for launch next March, with a rumored reveal date of September.

This ties in to earlier rumours that the console would be compatible with games like Miitomo and upcoming releases such as Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing.

Nintendo may have infuriatingly little to say about its next gaming system right now, but we have continuous rumors to keep us guessing, and Ubisoft isn’t done teasing what’s ahead.

This is possible due to detachable controllers, which sit either side of the handheld screen, and can be removed and attached when required. Now, in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Ubisoft’s head of EMEA Alain Corre expressed his enthusiasm for Nintendo’s new machine, and its potential implications for the market, and also hinted that Just Dance won’t be the only game the publisher brings to the system. Just three games have been officially announced thus far, including Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2017. He claimed that Nintendo is an incredible thrust of brands that are really enchanting a lot of fans and families. The news sparked speculation that the Nintendo NX could launch with support for augmented reality. “I am still impressed by the reoccurrence of success and appetite even today for the Nintendo franchises on the current system”. “So we will see when they release it, but we are confident”.

According to developers Ubisoft there will also be some unexpected titles available on the new console.
