MLB Rumors: Cubs to acquire Aroldis Chapman from Yankees
Those players are Single-A prospect Gleyber Torres, reliever Adam Warren and Double-A prospect Billy McKinney, while CSN’s Patrick Mooney reported Single-A prospect Rashad Crawford is the fourth man going to NY.

But the Cubs believe Chapman, who has a 2.01 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 311/3 innings, is worth the cost and controversy surrounding him.
Nova is not the first Yankees starter to be linked in trade rumors this summer, as Michael Pineda and Nathan Eovaldi are also said to be available on a weak market for starting pitchers. Initially he will probably work in mid-relief.
“And between Chapman”s arrival and Chris Sale”s return from his suspension on Thursday, the City Series is already off to a great start, and it hasn”t even begun.
Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts, in a statement, said he, Epstein and GM Jed Hoyer spoke with Chapman.
Torres entered the season as the 41st best prospect in baseball according to Baseball America and has likely jumped up in the rankings due to an impressive season with Single A+ Myrtle Beach. In 2013, when the Cubs signed Torres out of Venezuela for $1.75 million, they spent roughly twice as much as any other National League team on bonuses for worldwide prospects.
The more that Girardi can rely on everybody in his bullpen, they will be strong going forward. During this past off-season, the Yankees dealt Warren to the Cubs for Starlin Castro.
Chapman is expected to be in Chicago on Tuesday, when the Cubs play the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Yankees acquired Chapman prior to the season in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds. He is 3-0 with a 2.01 ERA and 20 saves this season. He has struggled mightily this year at the plate, but he is still just 21 years old. In 409 plate appearances, he is batting.275, with nine home runs, 47 RBIs, 62 runs, 19 stolen bases, .359 OBP, and a.433 slugging percentage. According to Rian Watt of Baseball Prospectus, the Cubs offered infield Gleyber Torres for Chapman. McKinney, a first-round pick in the 2013 draft, was acquired along with All-Star shortstop Addison Russell in the 2014 deal that sent pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel to Oakland. There is a possibility he could be traded before the August 1 non-waiver deadline, though it would take quite an offer to get the White Sox to move him.
