Fiorina looks to capitalize on debate performance
Considering that women are still severely underrepresented in the political arena, and the demonstrated importance of strong representation in encouraging other women to run, Fiorina’s commitment to demanding others take her seriously as a candidate is certainly commendable.

When asked about how she would handle the conflicting agenda of America’s allies in the Middle East, Fiorina was the first to invoke her close relations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (“my good friend Bibi Netanyahu”) and said she’d call the Supreme Leader of Iran to scotch the Iran deal.
“Unlike Trump, I didn’t get a call from Clinton”, she said, adding, “Maybe it’s because I haven’t given money to the foundation or donated to his wife’s Senate campaign”. “Progressives don’t believe that”.

Donald Trump – dubbed “the elephant not in the room” by a moderator – drew some of the harshest attacks during the undercard debate featuring seven GOP candidates who did not make the cut for the prime time contest.
It also signaled a turning point in the nascent primary race, moving policy discussions to the forefront before some campaigns have even had a chance to roll out their platforms.
Coverage coming out of the early debate was pro-Carly Fiorina; a Fox Twitter poll asked who won and Carly, the only female GOP candidate, had a landslide victory at 83 percent.
The candidates on stage early Thursday evening in Cleveland were former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, South Carolina Sen. “I didn’t”. “Okay!” Since the debate, he told her, she was being searched on Google so much that she rivaled Donald Trump.
For Republicans, Fiorina offers some of what they say they like about Trump. After the introductory segment for each candidate, the first question asked the candidates was about Trump.
For former Pennsylvania Sen. But like Mitt Romney, who filled that role in 2012 before ultimately claiming the nomination, Bush has struggled to break away from the rest of the field. He eventually placed second to nominee Mitt Romney. He said four years ago he was ready to lead, but he wasn’t ready to run. Wait-Santorum, who just said we should all be treated equally under the law, now says marriage equality isn’t “settled law”. “That never works”.
“If you’ve watched her along the way you’ve seen that she has the ability to handle the issues but also handled the questions and handled potential opponents”.
Messrs. Perry, Jindal, Graham, Santorum and Mrs. Fiorina were joined by former New York Gov. George Pataki and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore. If there is a positive element in Trump’s candidacy, it’s that his language breaks through.
Mr. Pataki spoke of defeating Mario Cuomo, which was in 1994.
PolitiFact reporters from Florida to Washington, D.C., to Wisconsin and Texas will live-tweet both rounds, to be cablecast on the Fox News Channel, and the Austin American-Statesman will have it all too.
