Officers executed a search warrant at the home in nearby Cobb County, about three miles from the Publix store where a delivery driver found the bodies of the boy and girl before dawn on Monday, Roswell police Det.
Authorities have released few details but say the teens both suffered head trauma and had been behind the store since about 2 a.m.
Jeffrey Hazelwood, 20, was arrested in connection to the murders of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, in Roswell, Ga.
Hazelwood was being held at the Roswell Detention Center on two counts of murder, and was expected to be transferred to the Fulton County Jail later, police said.
Roswell police are now executing a search warrant at a home in connection to the deaths of two teenagers. Police said Wednesday they believe he acted alone. He stated that the police believe the double homicide occurred near the Publix grocery store.
Hazelwood is now at the Roswell Detention Center and will be transferred to the Fulton County Jail, police said. Frommer said it’s likely the victims, who were friends, each drove themselves to the location where they died because two cars were at the scene that are associated with the teens. Investigators were reviewing surveillance camera footage from businesses in the area.
Davis was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a strong student, and he played lacrosse and football at River Ridge High School in Cherokee County. He called the investigation still one that was very active. Meanwhile, Henderson’s school assured she was a great friend to many in the school.
