Donald Trump Should Apologize For Khan Comments, Ron Johnson Says

On Wednesday, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran Tom Keefe nominated Khan to run for the Virginia General Assembly on Crowdpac.

Tom Keefe, the who started the Crowdpac account, praised Khan for speaking out against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric in the name of his late son, Capt. Humayun Khan. Trump, who thinks Khizr Khan “has no right” to question his respect for the Constitution, seems genuinely baffled by the idea that freedom of speech is a two-way street.

“If you look at his wife, she was standing there. He will say whatever he wants to”, she said. “You tell me. But plenty of people have written that”, he said.

Appearing on a Monday segment of CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360°”, Shaker was asked what he thought about Trump’s statements.

“I’m talking about people coming over here from Syria that aren’t properly vetted”, he said. I can’t imagine the pain. If you were in pain, you fight or you don’t say anything. I think sometimes he says some pretty mean things.

Donald Trump continues to make comments about the Khan family that only seem to make the situation worse. Khan had spoken against Trump at the Democratic National Convention last week, calling Trump’s proposal to ban Muslim immigration unsafe. They shouldn’t be responding, wasting their time to distance themselves from this candidate. Shortly after his death, Sheehan began protesting the Iraq War, and spoke out, directing her anger at then-President Bush. Khan excoriated Trump for entertaining a Muslim immigration ban and accused him of making no sacrifices for his country.

He also suggested that Khizr Khan had forbidden his wife to speak during his speech.

“Election year or not, the VFW will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising his or her right of speech or expression”, VFW leader Brian Duffy said in a statement. “You knew you were safe”, she said.

The billionaire and former reality television star who hopes to lead the U.S. was “incapable intellectually and mentally” of understanding how he has helped boost recruitment for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group with his “fear-mongering”, Khan said.

Trump also turned his rhetorical guns on the highest-ranking elected official in his own party, by tweeting out a positive message to House Speaker Paul Ryan’s GOP primary opponent.

Former state Sen. Jack Barnes, a Korean War combat veteran, said Trump must apologize and he called on Republicans to repudiate their nominee in the strongest words possible.
