Questions have been raised by locals as to whether those arrested were really involved in Friday night’s gory crime.
Addressing the Hindustan Times, Bareilly director of police, Sameer Saurabh said, The wrongdoing happened around 7 am, while the casualty was heading off to a school where she educates.
A fast track court in Bulandshahr yesterday sent the three accused arrested in connection with the case to 14day judicial custody. The have been identified as Rais Khan, Jabar and Shahbaz.
Meanwhile, the victims told IANS that the police was apathetic towards their plight and did not provide any medical treatment. “The NCW has offered counselling to the victims”.
SHO Ramsen of Kotwali Dehat was relieved from the charge of the case and attached with Police Lines here after police reported his negligence in the matter, the SSP said.
“We have got information that many members of the Saleem Bawariya gang are active in Bulandshahr and have relatives in the district”.
While a BJP delegation led by state unit president Keshav Prasad Maurya has already met the victims in Ghaziabad, a Congress team headed by its chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit met them on Thursday.
A gang of robbers had brutally gang-raped the minor and her mother on gunpoint after dragging them out of a auto in Bulandshahr on NH-91 when they were travelling with their family from Noida to Shahjahanpur.
The family was travelling to Shahjahanpur in UP.
“They even did not listen to the cries of woman and my niece”.
Reacting sharply to the statement, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said it was shameful that a senior minister could make such outrageous statements. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should resign as he has failed to govern the state.

Khan termed the gangrape an attempt to “malign” the Samajwadi Party (SP) government by those who want to “come to power” in poll-bound UP. “The party and the central government stand by the family”. He added that the incident is saddening and unfortunate and he is ready to let the CBI probe the case.
