The script book of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has beaten Fifty Shades of Grey to become the fastest-selling book of the decade. If you think this sounds confusing, I’ll attempt to simplify.
The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a wizarding writer who must track down the said fantastical beasts, who are on the loose.
Yates also helmed the last four Potter movies. According to Variety, the Fantastic Beasts sequel is slated for a November 2018 release, with author J.K. Rowling penning the script.
Directed by David Yates and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Farrell, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Ron Perlman and Ezra Miller, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to arrive in United Kingdom and USA cinemas on November 18, 2016.
The book – a script and not a narrative novel like author J.K. Rowling’s previous Potter books – was published at midnight on Sunday, shortly after the play’s gala opening. Niel Blair, Rick Senat, and Danny Cohen are set to executive produce.
For all you Muggles out there who don’t spend their time in the magical world, “Fantastic Beasts” is a prequel to the Harry Potter series that takes place in NY during the 1920s.
Scholastic has sold over 2 million copies of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in just two days, Mashable reported. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks at Universal Studios in Orlando, Hollywood and Osaka, Japan, continue to entertain record crowds and Warner Bros.
