Hillary Clinton’s DNC Speech Was the Best of Her Career
“Happy for grandmothers and little girls and everyone in between”.

“When any barrier falls in America, for anyone, it clears the way for everyone”.
“When there are no ceilings”, she declared, “the sky’s the limit”.
“I’m here as as a proud American, a proud Democrat, a proud mother, and tonight in particular a very, very proud daughter”, Chelsea said. The diverse parade of speakers who took the stage in Philadelphia this week underscored that goal.
On Thursday night we learned about the Hillary Clinton only her daughter knows. His supporters chanted at times during her speech only to be drowned out by her supporters.
While Clinton must play to the party’s base – and seek to soothe bruised Bernie Sanders supporters – a key mission was to appeal to crossover voters and independents wary of Trump.
“He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and from each other”, Clinton said, mocking Trump’s claim that he alone can “fix” the country. “I tell you without hesitation or reservation that Hillary Clinton will be exactly, exactly the kind of commander-in-chief America needs”. Your cause is our cause.
The speeches and programming represented communities of a wide range of religions, races and backgrounds, while at the same time, highlighting some of Trump’s most inflammatory statements and proposals, including his signature idea of building a wall on the US-Mexico border and banning Muslims from entering the country. The GOP convention in Cleveland in the past week, by contrast, portrayed the U.S.as a diminished country that could only be repaired by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
After a bruising primary campaign against Bernie Sanders, and as she savaged Trump, Clinton extended an olive branch of sorts to her skeptics and critics. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons”. “Whatever party you belong to, or if you belong to no party at all, if you share these beliefs, this is your campaign”, Clinton said.
At a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, earlier in the day, Trump said he did not want to watch the speech. Oh yeah, and she dunked on Republican nominee Donald Trump, 70, hard! What’s more, some influential Republican voices were left with concerns that Democrats had stolen their message as the party of American exceptionalism.
Throughout her remarks, particularly at the beginning, pockets of protesters jeered and booed at Clinton. Sanders supporters protested what they believed was a rigged election, frequently disrupting proceedings inside the Wells Fargo Center and staging a walkout after Clinton’s formal nomination Tuesday.
“I’m not here to repeal the 2nd Amendment”.
In a moment created to appeal to both gun control advocates and more conservative voters, Clinton forcefully said: “I’m not here to take away your guns”. “I think I need to see more authenticity from her”, said Spangler.
Katie McGinty, a Senate candidate from Pennsylvania, was another one of the speakers to take the stage Thursday night before Clinton.
The evening sounded at times more like a traditional Republican convention than a Democratic one. “It’s the calling of her life”.

She presented a sharply more upbeat view of the country than her rival Trump did when he was formally nominated for president at last week’s Republican convention, and even turned one of Republican hero Ronald Reagan’s signature phrases against the real estate developer.
