It’s rare women get to play roles like Harley Quinn: Robbie

Oscar victor Jared Leto is The Joker and his love interest, Harley Quinn, is played by Margot Robbie.

And yet it did, with ownership of the original adaptation hit Superman, the recent Dark Knight trilogy still floating in audience’s minds and the fresh approach to Suicide Squad. It felt as if the filmmakers forgot some of these characters were in the movie until a certain scene and then were like, “Oh yeah, he’s in this”. Instead he wastes time on the much-hyped appearance of the Joker (Jared Leto), whose presence in the movie is much smaller than the marketing would indicate, and adds nothing to the story. But Margot Robbie is still the best choice for Harley Quinn, hands down.

So they’re bad guys … fighting bad guys, for good. It stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, and Ben Affleck as you-know-who.

“The critics have been absolutely horrific”.

In an interview with GQ, Leto said he didn’t remember “hesitation” in taking on the role, given the shoes he had to fill, but he went on to praise Ledger’s version of The Joker. “As long as she has that element of choice to either be like the Joker or to get away from him, that defines her life”.

Early reviews for the DC Comics movie have not been promising but David insists he loves everything about the movie and says it is for the fans, not critics. A solo Batman triage or perhaps a tryst with the Justice League. Visually, the movie is a spectacle as you’d imagine riddled with special effects and visual magic, but in the second half you get the sense of predictability which pulls down the movie.

And that’s the main weakness of the movie, but that’s not to say, it is bad.

That’s good news for studio bosses following a spate of poor reviews for the movie. This is a non-spoilers video review, so if you haven’t seen the movie, you don’t have to be afraid of major plot points being ruined. “Suicide Squad” didn’t really pull that off. Instead, it only exacerbated the problems surrounding the DC Extended Universe.
