Buxton factored in two of Minnesota’s runs in the Twins’ 6-5 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night, including an exciting sequence in the third in which the speedy outfielder scored from first.

Avisail Garcia hit a leadoff double against Fernando Abad (1-4) in the 10th, and then scored easily when Navarro drove a fastball from Abad to the left-field corner for his third hit of the ninth. The young third baseman made a two-out throwing error in the fourth that led to a pair of unearned runs and gave Sano 11 errors in his past 19 games at third base.
Cabrera lined a two-out, two-strike double into the gap in left-center to score Tim Anderson and Tyler Saladino to put Chicago up 3-1. Brian Dozier is 11-for-29 during a seven-game hitting streak for the Twins, who parlayed a hit batsman and three walks into the winning rally Friday.
“It’s a disappointing game, but it’s entertaining, ” Twins manager Paul Molitor said.

The Sox got another run in the 8th, on another error (Polanco), but were contained to just that one run. It was the third straight two-out hit allowed by Twins starter Tommy Milone, and it proved costly.
Former Twins MVP Morneau went 2-for-5 and hit his second homer of the season in the sixth on a 3-1 pitch off Milone that traveled 402 feet into the left-field seats to make it 4-1.
Chris Sale said he addressed his teammates and coaches after Thursday night’s loss to clear the air after last weekend’s freaky episode in which the White Sox ace took a pair of scissors to the team’s throwback jerseys.
“He continues to do that”, Ventura said.
Whether they were distracted or not, the Sox didn’t look much like a contending team against the last-place Twins, at least not on offense without injured second baseman Brett Lawrie and Frazier, who felt sick and dizzy before the game and was only available off the bench.
Likewise, Sale called the meeting “good” and “very productive”. Chicago White Sox: $550 to win $500: Minnesota isn’t one of the better teams in baseball, but the Twins have a favorable matchup today at home.
