Eric Trump weighs in on father’s feud with fallen soldier’s parents

“I will gladly lend you my copy”, Khizr Khan said during his speech last week at the Democratic National Convention. The Republican leaders defended the soldier’s family without mentioning Trump by name.

Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania said, “The Khan family, like all Americans who lose loved ones in the defense of our country, deserve our gratitude and honor”. He challenged Republican lawmakers to drop their support for their party’s nominee, declaring “There has to come a point at which you say enough”. A senior Senate Republican aide, who asked not to be identified, said Republican senators were pleased with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s statement on Sunday calling Captain Khan “an American hero” and noting “a travel ban on all members of a religion is simply contrary to American values”.

The Constitution’s ranking coincides with the buzz around Khizr Khan, the father of a fallen Muslim U.S. solider, who spoke at the Democratic National Convention last week. Instead, Trump said he was “afraid the election is going to be rigged”, echoing complaints he made during the Republican primaries despite his series of victories. This moment is about a single man – Donald Trump. He also questioned whether Trump had ever read the Constitution. Trump responded, not with dignity, but by accusing Khan of silencing his (Khan’s) wife due to his “culture” during his DNC speech. “When you say your job building buildings is akin to our sacrifice, you are attacking our sacrifice”, their letter read.

Among Trump’s most recent comments was a Tweet sent Monday claiming he was “viciously attacked” by the Kahns.

And a spokeswoman for House Speaker Paul RyanPaul RyanJustice Dept. objected to cash payment to Iran: report Group to launch M pro-Trump radio blitz RNC: Trump will be on ballot MORE (R-Wis.), AshLee Strong, said that the Speaker “rejects” Trumps criticism.

Mr Trump has been sharply criticised for attacking the parents of a fallen United States soldier who spoke out against him.

“The Khan controversy is a cynical political stunt cooked up by the Clinton Establishment, and, sadly, John McCain has fallen right into it. McCain’s statement today makes clear that he really wants Hillary Clinton in the White House, and his tepid “support” for Trump is only disingenuous pandering”. Monday Sen. John McCain, whose son also served in Iraq, said, “I can not emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump’s (criticism of the Khans)”.

The outcry was bipartisan, leaving Mr Trump largely isolated among his fellow Republicans and potentially risking whatever progress the New Yorker had made in winning over independent voters who will likely decide the election this autumn.

The Fox News poll asked 635 registered voters questions about the Khan controversy by telephone on August 1 and August 2.

“His son died 12 years ago”, Trump added. I mean time goes by and you can think about the happy things as well as your loss. “I think it is fair to say he is temperamentally unfit and unqualified”. “What Donald Trump said was inexcusable and Richard Burr owes North Carolina’s military families an explanation of how he can continue to support Trump as Commander in Chief after his offensive comments”.
