Instagram wrote on its official blogpost: “You don’t have to worry about overposting”.

Instagram has removed public comments and likes from the new feature, so if you want to remark on someone’s story, you’ll have to send a private message on Instagram Direct.
Friends on Instagram will know when you’ve got a new story when they see a colored ring appear around your profile picture. Users can post parts of their Instagram Stories as posts on their Instagram profile if they want.
However, you can also choose to hide your story from specific people by deselecting them in your list of followers. The stories will appear as a slideshow in Your Story.
When watching your own story, swipe up to check out who’s seen each photo and video.
Your story follows the privacy settings of your account.
Late on Tuesday night, Facebook honcho Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of a new feature, Instagram Stories, via a Facebook Post.
With Stories, you can add doodles, text and emojis to all of your images which are accessible at the top of your feed. These bubbles are displayed through an algorithm that shows your favorite account first. Instagram “Stories” is rolling out globally for iOS and Android over the next few weeks.
To save your story to your camera roll, hit the download button on the right of your story. To share your story tap on the checkmark icon and it is done. Tools for the Stories feed include a pen, a neon pen, and a highlighter for now.
In introducing Stories, Instagram hopes to capitalize on Snapchat’s success, said Elizabeth Lampert, president of Elizabeth Lampert PR.
Despite its infancy, the fashion and beauty communities are already flocking to the new feature. In the meantime, check out what people were saying on social media when Instagram Stories was released.
Instagram owner Facebook is no stranger to this. TechCruch interviewed Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom who said that yes, Snapchat deserves all the credit for the feature.
