Man City boss Guardiola faces biggest challenge in England, says Klopp

Guardiola, who replaced Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad, had led Barcelona to 14 titles during his time in charge before clinching three consecutive Bundesliga titles and two German Cups in his three-year spell with Bayern Munich.

Monday’s documentary, entitled “Pep” and presented by Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, looks into Guardiola’s time as a player in the great Barcelona “Dream Team” of the early nineties under the late Johan Cruyff. Swansea City have turned down a bid for skipper Ashley Williams from Premier League rivals Everton, a spokesman for the Welsh club has confirmed.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes the Premier League is attracting Europe’s top coaches because it offers the “biggest challenge” in the game.

City have appointed Guardiola in order to make them one of the best and most entertaining teams on the planet.

“That’s the difference 100 per cent”.

Klopp thinks winning in England represents a more interesting challenge than winning in Germany. “Winning the title in England is the biggest challenge of them all”, Klopp told British media.

Former West Germany worldwide Breitner believes the new Manchester City boss “launched the third stage of a multistage rocket” as he delivered three consecutive Bundesliga triumphs, two German Cups, the Super Cup and Club World Cup. In Germany, if you want to be in front of Bayern Munich, you have to win all the other games and then a minimum of one against Bayern, because they never lose. “There are the most teams of any league who can win it”, Klopp said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

“In this country it’s a very different kind of difficulty”.

“He is fast, enjoys creating chances for others, works hard for the team and scores goals, too”. The rest hope for I don’t know what.
