After this sudden shutdown of torrentz, the question comes in the mind of individuals whether any other torrent website will trail suit and shut down their maneuvers, being hesitant of police arrests.

Barely weeks after KickAssTorrents was seized by the United States law enforcement agencies and its alleged owner arrested, the Torrentz, which is the top torrent search engine, has announced that that it is shutting down. The website is now ranked 28 in India, one of the highest rankings for the site in any other country.
Torrenting is a popular method of file-sharing.
Torrentfreak, which was the first to report on the closing, said it was the largest meta-search engine for torrents around.
What is odd is that the site was functioning as expected up until a few hours ago according to Torrentfreak.
Torrentz, a search engine for finding torrent files has ended its operations, telling its millions of users: “Torrentz will always love you”. Torrentz.eu announced “farewell” to its millions of users after The Pirate Bay made a decision to cease its operation.
And when users tried to search for something to download on the search engine, no results would show as the search engine functionality had been disabled, and instead the search engine displayed the text, “Torrentz will always love you”.
Now with Torrentz.eu and KickassTorrents both shutting down, millions of users are left disappointed.
There are of course also numerous private torrent sites which might now see an influx of members.

A lot of mirror websites cropped up after the shutdown of the Kickass torrents.
