“I have always maintained that there has been a conspiracy against me”.

Narsingh’s counsel Vidushpat Singhania sounded satisfied with the way proceedings went on the day.

Yadav said he feared his food supplements were spiked, but he did not reveal who was responsible for it.

“I am ready to face the NADA committee because I am confident that there is foul play. Nada will present their case tomorrow”, said Singhania.

They shouted “Narsingh bhai Zindabad” and demanded a CBI enquiry into the matter.

However, it could be noted that the dope tests (June 25 and July 5) were conducted on the wrestler his return from a training stint in Bulgaria. “Even in that, the blood sample was fine but his urine sample tested positive“, Agarwal said.

The Wrestling Federation of India should verify the facts from National AntiDoping Agency as it is a question of India’s selfrespect, the Congress leader had said. The UWW has later announced to have this replacement that they will going to send the name of Parveen in place of Narsingh.

26-year-old Narsingh, a bronze medallist at the 2015 World Championship, was a top contender in the 74kg freestyle category and one of the country’s medal prospects.

The family alleged that wrestler Satpal and Sushil Yadav have conspired to get his son out of the Olympics.

Goel said that doors are nearly shut for Narsingh and it is time for the conspiracy theories to stop.

He was later called for his “B” sample test, which also turned out to be positive. “All these conspiracy theories which are floating, unless all these things come to our notice, we can’t do any investigation or take any step regarding that”, he said.

Earlier, Narsingh’s doping issue was also raised in the Parliament.

In the past few days, the nation saw Narsingh Yadav, Inderjeet Singh, and Sandeep Tulsi Yadav test positive for banned substances. Narsingh Yadav and Inderjeet Singh have been banned from the Summer Games. Interestingly, the suspect is the younger brother of another wrestler in a separate heavyweight category who was in contention to represent India in the Olympics. “We usually keep testing all the athletes so that they can pay attention”, he added.
