GOP Officials Think Donald Trump Might Drop Out of Election

Trump later declined to endorse Ryan, although Ryan said Thursday he still supports Trump, despite some sharp language distancing himself from the Republican nominee.

Since his nomination two weeks ago, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has repeatedly voiced opinions that sounded very different from those expressed by the GOP’s presidential nominee, Donald Trump. Trump used Paul Ryan’s own words when asked by the Washington Post if he is supporting the House speaker’s reelection bid against Nehlen: “I’m not quite there yet”.

“Well, I’d rather not say”, Trump responded.

He says Trump, “strongly encouraged me to endorse Paul Ryan in next Tuesday’s primary”.

This is not the first time Pence has broken protocol and expressed an opinion different from that of his running mate.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has insisted that his party is united despite media reports of deepening concern within his campaign and the Republican Party following days of inflammatory comments.

In response, Trump said he was “viciously attacked” by Khizr Khan and implied that Ghazala Khan, the soldier’s mother, stood silently alongside her husband during the speech because, as a Muslim, she was restricted her from speaking.

Khan was killed by a vehicle bomb while serving in Iraq in 2004. However, Ryan did endorse Trump earlier this year, despite previous reservations.

Scott, who recently agreed to become chairman of a super PAC backing Trump, as well as all three Cabinet members said they still intend to vote for Trump.

Ernst, an Iraq war veteran, also commended Humayun Khan and his family for their sacrifice, but she did not specifically address Trump’s comments.

Pence asked the crowd to quiet down and then said of the questioner: “That’s what freedom looks like”.

“We as a nation are incredibly grateful to Capt. Khan’s service and ultimate sacrifice – as well as the sacrifices of his parents – to keep us safe and free”.

“I think that as Republicans, we need to do some soul-searching”, Dent said Tuesday.

Trump has been widely criticized, including by many Republicans, for denouncing the Khans, who are Muslim-Americans.

“I really would like him to explain why he paid Chinese workers to make Trump ties”, Clinton said, holding up one of his signature neck ties, “instead of deciding to make those ties right here in Colorado with a company like Knotty”.
