Xavier University has just installed the first ever pizza ATM in America which aims to provide students with 24-hour pizzas which will be made within a few minutes.

A college in OH is preparing to test that theory as it prepares to install a pizza ATM to serve students after hours, WCPO reports.

The pizzas are all made onsite and students will be able to choose between a variety of flavours including pepperoni, cheese and veggie.

The ATM will have a soft launch on August 10, before a grand opening in September.

The pizzas are all assembled by the on-site catering staff, with the base pre-cooked and toppings added, before they are boxed and loaded into the machine.

The company, Paline, says the machine will hold 70 pizzas at once.

Once a student selects a pizza, a robotic plate positions the pizza in front of the oven. Once it’s heated, it gets dropped into a box and shot out to the student.

Once it’s ready it’s placed back into the box and dispensed to the customer.

They cost around $10 (£7.50) each, depending on choice of topping and the university expects to sell around 300 a day.
